Daniel Hole

My name is Dan, I am a full-time music teacher with a PGCE, and professional musician. I offer a strategic approach to lessons based on each student’s abilities and goals. My teaching method is to get students playing straight away and enjoying their instrument, whilst building a solid foundational technique. Then, by applying theoretical knowledge I help students understand how music works, enabling them to form their own ideas. I design structured practise routines to help students develop between lessons and can provide sheet music and detailed handovers. I can also work with students through the grading system. I started playing the bass guitar in 2004 when I was nine. Throughout my early musical development, I played in many bands from a range of genres, playing professional gigs and working through the grades. I now have a BA in professional musicianship, a PGCE and a plethora of real-world experience: from touring internationally, to performing live at the BBC’s Maida Vale studios, and working in many primary schools. I am also a Songwriter, whose songs have been played on RadioOne, 6Muisc and appeared on TV.
