Azrul Shafiq has more than 12 years’ experience teaching music and drum from early years to KS4. He is an enthusiastic and experienced teacher ready to take on new challenges in different environments. He was labelled as a funniest teacher in previous school and got awards for the best teacher before feeling so excited to join a new place for his career.
In his spare time, Azrul enjoys so much time at the field and in a studio because he loves to do any sports so much. Equally, he enjoys most forms of exercise and much free time, he has been busy doing some drumming and playing for any concert because he loves so much to entertain the people.
Mr. Azrul, the funniest teacher you’ll ever meet, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in audio technology and performance from UPM. Majoring in drum and percussion. Apart from the rock style, he also teaches jazz, folk, pop, ska, reggae, and traditional music styles. You’re a lucky one if you learn from him.
Azrul has been actively involved for two years with both Twinkle Cat and the Kyushu Institute of Technology, focusing on a music program specifically designed for children with autism. In this program, Azrul plays a key role as the percussion team leader, teaching the children various percussion techniques and preparing them for performances. These performances are not only a learning experience but also a way to give back to the community, as they are often held in orphanages and special schools. Azrul’s dedication to both teaching and outreach has positively impacted the lives of many children.
Been a part of Music Production for the school theatre and the music instructor and drum instructor for that play.
