About Andy Bates
Hi budding musicians,
I am a teacher of guitar and drums in Tavistock (in the UK) and I love helping my students to find their way on their instruments. I teach at three of my local schools (Tavistock College, Tavistock Primary and Whitchurch Primary) and also offer lessons at my home. I like to use the RSL syllabus, enhanced with my own lesson material and try to accommodate all preferences and genres. You can learn what you want to learn and I will guide you with what you need to get where you want to go. I aim to see progress for all, but you get to move at your speed and in a relaxed and encouraging environment.

PGCE (RE) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), BA Hons Philosophy, RSL Drums: Grade 8, RSL Guitar: Grade 8, Popular Music Theory: Grade 5
