Alex Best is a professional freelance drummer working with a variety of artists in many different genres. Alex splits his time between performance and tuition where he is experienced teaching on an individual and small group basis, along with leading workshops and ensembles.

Tuition is tailored specifically to the individual, ensuring that lessons are engaging, structured, relevant, productive, positive and rewarding.

Many of Alex’s students have taken GCSE/A Level music, with drum kit being their main instrument, as well as students studying music at university, leading to careers in the industry.

A free introductory/trial lesson is available to prospective students.

Private teaching practice, including Individual drum kit tuition, drum workshops, rhythm section workshops.
LEA accreditation as percussion tutor, kit specialist and performance grade examiner.
Fully DBS Checked (CRB)
SCB Safeguarding trained
Bachelor of Arts with Honours, Music, 2:1.
Foundation Degree in Arts, Popular Music.
Grades 1-8 if required (100% pass rate)
