About Alejandro Masafret

Professional musician for 28 years. Personal interview and trial lesson with no obligation. Professional sound and image. All levels.

Hello! I’m Alejandro Masafret, a professional bassist with over 27 years of experience, both performing and teaching. I offer in-person lessons in Spain, but I also offer online lessons for those who prefer this format, guaranteeing an experience similar to in-person classes.

My goal is for each student to learn in the most effective, motivating, and fun way possible. To achieve this, I strive to understand how each person learns and adapt to their interests, goals, and learning style from the very beginning. No prior knowledge is necessary to start, just the desire to learn and enjoy.

My lessons are personalized and dynamic, adapting to the pace and needs of each student. I use audiovisual materials and practical examples to facilitate the learning of techniques and concepts. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced musician, my lessons are designed to progress together from day one, regardless of your level.

Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students of all ages and levels. I have helped:

Beginners who want to start from scratch.
Intermediate and advanced musicians who wish to refine their techniques or explore new genres.

Students who want to learn repertoire, compose, or delve deeper into music theory.

I have also taught people with diverse interests and goals, from those who want to obtain a qualification or start a professional career, to those who play for pleasure or for their own bands.

I have had the privilege of touring nationally and recording with renowned artists in my country such as Ana Guerra, Antonio José, Soraya Arnelas, Roi Méndez, Rozalén, Ana Belén, Nacha Pop, Javier Gurruchaga, Ricky Merino, and Pablo López, among others. I have performed on major stages in Spain, such as the WiZink Center and the Liceu in Barcelona, and at international festivals such as the Azores Blues Festival and the Elorrio Jazz Festival, among others.

I’ve played in a wide variety of genres, which allows me to offer my students a broad and flexible perspective. I also teach advanced techniques such as slap, double thump, tapping, muting, and more.
Online Lessons: High Quality and Personalized Attention

I’ve paid special attention to ensuring my online lessons aren’t a barrier, but rather a genuine learning opportunity. With studio-quality sound, professional lighting, and multiple cameras, I offer an experience that closely resembles an in-person lesson.

Although I’ve primarily worked as a freelance teacher, I’ve also had the opportunity to teach at various schools, including the Narón School of Modern Music (A Coruña), the RockSchool in A Coruña, the Schoenberg School, and the Madrid Blues School.

If you’re interested in learning electric bass, I invite you to try a free lesson to see how you feel. I’m confident that together we can achieve your musical goals.

Contact me and give it a try! 🙂

Cancelation & Rescheduling Policy

My usual way of working is to collect the full month’s fee at the beginning of the month, before the first class. If a student drops out for any reason, I will, of course, refund the cost of the remaining classes.
In any case, we can discuss all of this in a free consultation. Schedule your trial class and ask me anything you like 🙂
