About Alan Robertson
I was employed as a specialist guitar examiner by the Registry of Guitar Tutors and the London College of Music from 1998 until 2005, initially as a guitar and bass guitar examiner, and subsequent to additional training, to include drum kit examining for the RGT/LCM and classical guitar for the LCM.
In 2001, I started work as an examiner for the London College of Music Popular Music Theory Examinations and in 2002, I was invited to set the above Exam Papers for Grades 4-8. In 2005, I was made a Senior Theory Examiner and in 2006 I assumed the responsibility for setting Grades Preliminary to 8 of the Popular Music Theory Exam Papers and was appointed Principal Examiner.
