Learn a Wide Variety of Genres

Explore a Variety of Genres With Me

As an enthusiastic piano teacher, I take pride in offering my students the chance to explore an incredible variety of musical genres. Whether your goal is to master a timeless classical piece, express yourself through jazz improvisation, or bring your favourite pop songs to life, my lessons cover it all. Each genre offers its own unique challenge and joy, and I am here to guide you every step of the way.

Classical for a Strong Foundation

Learning classical music is an excellent way to build a solid foundation in technique and musicality. Pieces by composers like Beethoven, Bach, and Chopin teach precision and help refine your mastery of the instrument. Many university music programs focus on classical repertoire, and I can help you prepare if you’re pursuing formal study.

Jazz for Creativity and Improvisation

Jazz is perfect if you’re looking to develop your ear and explore improvisation. It’s a highly versatile genre that brings creativity to the forefront of your piano lessons, combining rhythm, harmony, and individual expression in an exciting way. With time, you’ll be amazed at your ability to freely create music on the spot.

Modern and Pop to Play Your Favourites

Do you dream of playing popular hits by your favourite artists? From Adele to Elton John, modern and pop music can be incredibly rewarding to learn. These pieces are often fun, familiar, and approachable, making them ideal for students of all levels.

Additional Instruments and Singing

While the piano is my main focus, I am also passionate about helping students explore other musical avenues. If you have an interest in learning additional instruments like the clarinet or saxophone, or if you’d like to incorporate singing into your lessons, I’m happy to tailor our sessions to include these.
