My Mission

Lessons Tailored To You

Currently only offering online lessons (WhatsApp, Facetime, Zoom, Teams etc.) Professional double and electric bass player and senior lecturer in music (ensembles, improvisation, composition, 1 to 1 lessons) at Leeds Conservatoire from 2018-2024. James was born in Dudley, England in 1991. He has studied in Birmingham, Paris and Berlin, and is now based in Berlin, working around Europe as a musician (double/electric bass), educator and composer. He performs mostly in fields of jazz, improvised and contemporary music as a soloist, sideman and bandleader and employs a holistic and collaborative approach to music making.

Andy has been playing the piano since the age of 4 and achieved his Grade 8 by the age of 18. As well as a keen performer, and listener, Andy has always been fascinated by the academic and theoretical side of music. He studied music all the way throughout his school career at St. Anselm’s College up until the age of 16, achieving a GCSE in Music, and went on to complete an A-level in Music at Wirral Grammar School for Boys. He recently graduated from The University of Liverpool in Music/Popular Music, attaining a 2:1.

I am an elecric and double bass player, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter living in North East London, with nearly 15 years of professional experience as performer, composer/songwriter, bandleader, session musician and teacher. I am relaxed, patient and am keen to share my knowledge and skills with those who are in turn keen to learn! Teaching 1 to 1 lessons on Bass Guitar and Double Bass since 2012 (and taking lessons since long, long before!)
