First up, my hypotheses. 1st is they might have just had a full roster of tutors for your area and didn’t need another, and have not communicated this well. 2nd is they might have seen you are on this platform and have a clause that says you can’t go with another platform. I know some platforms have a written exclusivity clause.
Second up, don’t feel like having a degree means anything. I have an under grad and a post grad degree and there’s a drum tutor in my city that is so successful off of playing the basics he is completely fully booked and has 2 other drum tutors in his employ earning him money, as well as doing band lead stuff for a council charity. He has some minor fame behind him, and that’s what gets him the living. Formal education is fine for training but it ultimately means nothing if you don’t have a reputation, so try to not take it personally. You may well be a more skilled performer and tutor, but it doesn’t always mean you’ll get the offers.
