Scale Runs and Speed
When we talk about metal guitar lessons, scale runs are an essential element of achieving that fast, fluid, and impressive style associated with the genre. As your teacher, I'll guide you through mastering these exhilarating runs, boosting both your speed and precision. We'll incorporate different kinds of scales into our sessions, extending our range on the guitar fretboard to help you tackle challenging solos even in heavy metal bands. Mastering Sweep Picking
Sweep picking is another crucial technique that heavy metal guitar players often use to create those powerful, intense arpeggio patterns. In our metal guitar courses, I'll teach you how to execute this technique smoothly, ensuring that each note rings clear and concise. I'll provide insights into how to use your pick efficiently, so you minimise movement while maximising impact. By incorporating sweep picking into your playing, you'll be able to add an amazing musical texture to your songs and solos.
Writing Riffs and Metal Rhythm

As we explore different rhythms and timings, your ability to craft quality heavy metal music will expand, allowing you to play confidently across various metal bands and styles.
Exploring Drop Tunings and Extended Range
Another interesting facet of metal guitar playing involves experimenting with drop tunings and extended range guitars. These tunings provide a deeper, heavier sound that's perfect for crafting powerful metal songs. I'll show you how to adjust your tuning, understand the notion of extended range, and harness these techniques to add depth and intensity to your playing. Whether you're in a band or playing solo, these tunings can transform your sound, taking your performance from ordinary to extraordinary.
