I have a welcoming, friendly and warm personality where everyone can feel the supportive learning environment. I'm very keen on starting with a beginner student and to guide them through of the wonderful world of music.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I teach beginners how to understand music and gain an important understanding of theory. Music theory is often overlooked but whichever instrument you're learning I really feel that it's a valuable tool.
Having started learning music as a 10 years old I have tons of experience teaching, explaining, demonstrating even the musically most difficult problems technically and musically as well.
I studied three different instruments, the church organ, the accordion and the piano with very good teachers who gave their very best to make the musician I'm now. I was taught music theory to a very high level.
I'm also very keen on building up my students musicianship and also feel that singing and hearing is a very important part of a versatile musician. Singing while you are playing a melody as my teachers used to tell me can be difficult at first but could result in creating a beautiful melodious line. The "singing piano", the Bel canto as Chopin used to say.
I teach all ages and abilities from age 5 until 99 years. I particularly like teaching, explaining, demonstrating and practicing rhythms and harmony for beginners and intermediate students.
With a good knowledge I have can explain from the very first lesson the beats, how the beats can be and why devided into smaller parts forming different types of rhythms which are serving the feel or vibe of the music.
How the notes are connecting to each other forming melody and melodious lines while also forming harmony. We can learn about the lot of different articulation of the notes which also serve the feeling of the music. Analysing the piece of music, looking for differences and similarities can help to understand and execute the musical melody better.
To see the happiness and joy of my students when they are able to play their pieces or do their exams successfully is one of my main aims as a teacher. Of course it has its difficulties as well but when someone is clearly enjoying the pure ability and sound of playing an instrument that makes them happy I feel satisfaction, happiness and inner piece and am proud of them.
