Welcome to
Hi and welcome to Online Logic Pro X Lessons. My name is Ian Davies and I offer lessons specifically focusing on how to use Logic Pro X to students of all ages and abilities. These lessons are provided using online services like Zoom, Skype or Facetime.
I am a professional music production teacher and musician who is currently offering online lessons to students from all over the world. In order to get started and take an online lesson with me all you would need is a device with a camera on it and an active internet connection. Utilising the power of todays technology it really has never been easier to connect online and this has become a really great way of offering lessons to any students who are interested, no matter where you live.
Taking online lessons means that our sessions can take place right from the comfort of your own home without ever needing to worry about traffic, parking or finding the location. I find that people tend to learn better this way, being able to work and study in a relaxed and comfortable environment. I take pride in offering online lessons of the highest quality and believe the standard is just as high as if you were taking lessons with me face to face.

I love working with music and sound – playing the double bass and bass guitar, teaching, composing, sound engineering and producing. As well as being fascinated with music theory and how music works. I enjoy a varied professional life in all these fields.
In this day and age, knowing how to sing or play an instrument is only part of the journey. It is important to know how to record those sounds and how to get the best possible sound out of them. It is my passion to help you get comfortable and familiar with Logic Pro X so you are able to create your own songs from scratch, or to go on to produce high quality and professional sounding audio tracks.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
No matter if you have never used Logic Pro before or if you have been using it for a long time and just want to take things to that next level, any student is welcome to take lessons with me.
I have been in the music and sound profession for 25 years and was playing, composing and recording music for 10 years before that. My performances have been in a diverse range of genres – in bands, ensembles, orchestras and music theatre. I have worked on sound for many successful films, including Star Wars, and numerous music recordings. I began teaching professionally in 1997 and my qualifications include a MA degree in Music Performance, a BA degree in Music and a Diploma from the London College of Music.
All these elements of my life and career in music and sound are entwined and each element compliments the others. I feel so fortunate that I have had these amazing experiences and achieved all the wonderful things that I have done in life. I look forward to many more such experiences and in helping you achieve your best in making music and recording.
I wish to help others discover the wonders of music. To Learn, Explore and Create. I love learning about music and have a Masters Degree in Music, a BA degree in Music and I’m a graduate of Bass-Tech at the Guitar Institute, part of the London College of Music.
Logic Pro is a very powerful piece of modern day technology. In the right hands and with the right guidance Logic really has no restrictions on what you can do with it. The possibilities truly are endless and it allows us to make and produce high quality beats and songs right from the comfort of our bedrooms. Our lessons will cover a wide range of topics, including how to navigate around the software in to each of the different menus.
I passionately believe that we are all capable of learning music. I also firmly believe that we all learn in different ways. As a teacher it is my job to find out how each student best learns and teach them in this way. The most important thing is the student and I’m here to help them. I strongly feel that it is vital to accommodate the needs and abilities of all learners, making the experience enjoyable for all.
Furthermore, I teach my students how to teach themselves which empowers them to understand, not only how to play a musical instrument, but also to understand how music and the instrument works. The student can then, not only play specific pieces, but step into their creativity and express themselves through music.
Here is some information to help you get prepared to take your online guitar lessons.
Speed Test, is a very useful tool as having a stable internet connection is one of the most important parts to these lessons. Here you will be able to see what your speeds are and we will only need a speed of 3mbps to have a stable enough connection for the lessons.
As well as a stable internet connection you will need to have access to some kind of electronic device that has a camera on it. This could be things like a laptop, tablet or a smartphone. Many things have cameras on them nowadays so once we have access to one of these you are ready to go.
Once you have a device ready to go, there are many services we can use to connect for the actual lessons. The most common and reliable services tend to be Zoom, Skype or Facetime for Apple device users. There are other options too so if these don't work for you for any reason please just let me know and we can go through other possible options together.
