I teach violin in a professional manner, ensuring utmost efficiency in practice with a high regard to student satisfaction and enjoyment! I pride enjoyment over everything else and like to make sure my lessons are enjoyable for all.

During my time as a teacher, I have guided students in many scenarios such as orchestral ensembles, 1:1's and group lessons. Regardless of the lesson type, the information I teach always keeps my learners progressing on and enjoying their instruments to the fullest extent.

My Lessons

All Ages and Skill Levels Welcome

I teach all ages and levels from primary school beginners to adults looking to take their next step. It should always be noted that I continue to teach many adults new to violin; age is certainly not a factor in determining the ability to learn new skills.

All lessons are personalised and calibrated to the individual learner. Age, skill level, musical interests and aspirations are all factors that I take into account with every student to ensure each appointment is of high value and enjoyment.

£20 per 1/2 hour
£25 per 3/4 hour
£30 per hour

Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.

My Experience as a Teacher

In 2015/16 I lived in London teaching Violin and preparing my students for ABRSM Exams. I was invited to play at The International Busking Day, on the 23rd July (2016) have also played, on the Streets, with my Violin students, close to the Houses of Parliament, (Big Ben). (With Licence to play on the Streets given by “Musicians Union”, as a “Musicians Union Member”)

I started to teach Music Education when was 21 years old: at École Française de Porto. Two years later, decided to apply for Public Schools in Portugal, where I taught Music Education for more than 10 years.

I also started to teach Viola and Violin and Music Education in Music Academies in Portugal and as a private Teacher. As a private Teacher I have also been teaching the Recorder and the Guitar (with Chords and Songs in English, Portuguese, French and German).

More About My Lessons

I can prepare students for Music Education and Aural Exams. I have been doing Musical Arrangements on Classical Music Pieces and Songs: adapting each Piece to her students Grades and playing with them during the Lessons and in Concerts, (such as the arrangement on the 2nd movement of Dvorak New World Symphony or the Song: “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”, etc.)

Since July 2020 I was the first “Teachers Rock UK” International Member and can also prepare students with the Teachers Rock Youth Singing Programme: also online.

On the 16th December 2020 I have participated in the “Teachers Rock Big Christmas Sing of the Song “New Born King” streamline Event organized by Ms Debbie Kent.

Music Shops in Kensington

I am often asked about the best music services in Kensington to take advantage of as a violin player. Luckily, Kensington residents have access to some of the finest music shops in London.

Kensington Chimes is a wonderful general music store located on 9 Harrington Road, SW7 3ES. Kensington Chimes is most suited for beginners and offers a range of quality entry level instruments.

Folkies Music store is located at 358 Kilburn High Road, NW6 2QH. Their stock is largely targeted towards experienced players looking for high end instrents, however there are also a handful of excellent beginner level violins reguarly found on their shelves.

Florian Leonhard found at 3 Frognal Lane, NW3 7DY, Florian Leonhard are highly regarded violin specialists. Offering world beating services in fine violins, their products and consultants will surely suffice for anyone looking for a lifelong instrument.

Frequently Asked Questions

My lessons cost £20 per 30 minutes, £25 per 45 minutes and £30 for a full hour.

My lessons can take place from the comfort of your own home either through visitations or via online platforms such as Skype, Zoom and FaceTime. I also welcome students into my own home in Kensington regularly.

I teach all ages, from 4 and upwards. My lessons have helped many excellent adult beginners and I continue to guide individuals from all walks of life.

Of course not, frequency of lessons is entirely down to you. I do suggest however, that students try to attend every two or three weeks at most in order to maintain rate of progression, and therefore enjoyment!

Lessons Cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will still be charged full price for the lesson.

I am a mobile, online violin teacher in order to deliver the most convenience to as many people as possible. If you are local, visitations to your home on Saturday or Sundays work great; I always ensure a positive learning environment for my students. Alternatively for those further affield, online lessons that I provide would likely be far more suitable.
