For around the last 12 years I have been working as a Music Producer, Songwriter and Sound Engineer. In this time I have worked with artists from all different backgrounds/styles and genres. As such I will always ensure that my singing lessons are tailored to your exact style and needs. I understand we all like different things about music so I will always make sure we're heading in the direction you want to go.

As a teacher I think this is a very crucial aspect to learning how to sing, but also for any other instrument too. By studying the songs you love by the Artists you like the most, this helps to maintain interest in the lessons while overcoming the challenges we all face when learning any new instrument, especially singing. I have a huge love for music in general and will happily work around you and adapt my lesson plans to your individual needs.

My Experience as a Teacher

I am currently a full-time Music Producer and Singing teacher. My qualifications include an A-Level in Music Technology and a Foundation Degree in Songwriting from ICMP London. I also have a lot of real world experience working with students from all walks of life. I have helped them to discover and fine tune their voice to get it sounding exactly how they want it!

I pride myself in taking the time and effort to get to know you properly as an individual. This allows me to plan and tailor my lessons around your specific needs and goals to ensure that you are always getting the most from the sessions that you possibly can. I have worked with singers in the following Genres Pop, R&B, Funk, Soul, Electronic, Hip-Hop, Dance as well as many others.

My lessons will cover a wide range of topics, not only just specific singing techniques but also stylistic choices and other factors that make up a good singer. No matter whether you're just looking to start from scratch, improve your current pitching, or add more vibrato to your singing voice I am here to support you at every stage of your singing journey.

More About My Lessons

The goal of these lessons is to provide you with all the necessary tools and skills that you would need to efficiently sing in any style or genre that you want to do. I want to help you have more control over your voice so you can adjust and adapt your singing sound to whatever you need from it, whether that be Pop Singing, R&B, Soul or any style or genre.

On top of providing singing technique tips, I also like to help my students with the other elements of being a good singer such as songwriting basics and how to record their voice. I feel that as a developing artists these skills go hand in hand with what it means to be a good singer in this day and age. Being able to utilise all the tools available to you to achieve the best possible sound.

I also offer my students lessons on how to produce their own music, if this is something you are interested in. I mainly use Logic Pro X software which can seem a little daunting at first but with my help and guidance I can show you the ropes and show you how to best record your voice along with showing you all the the other powerful capabilities that it has.

Many people ask me where can they go for all their musical needs such as microphones, headphones, PAs etc. Here is a list of nearby stores.

Symphony Music, is located 66 Market St, Wigan WN1 1HX and is a great local store you can try. Here they primarily sell guitars and amps, however they do have a selection of Condenser and Dynamic mics, interfaces and other essential bits of gear that is needed to record your voice.

PMT Online, is a great one for all accessories you would need for all things singing. There aren't that many local music stores in Wigan so this is a good reliable online one you can try.

Gear 4 Music, is another online retailer I'd recommend trying, as Wigan doesn't have that many music shops, Gear 4 Music is an online retailer based in York (YO30 4XF). Here you will find EVERYTHING you could possibly need as a musician no matter what instrument you play.
