Hi everyone, My name is Chloe Smith & I'm a professional singing teacher based in the Shepshed area. My lessons are built around my students goals and personal tastes whilst making sure you have a wide understanding of music and what you're singing. Students of any singing ability are welcome to learn with me.
I want my students to learn in a way that they feel comfortable doing so. I will make a lesson plan that suits the direction that you want to learn in. If you just want to learn songs then that's fine, if you want to learn theory or want to perform, this is also fine. I believe that building my teaching plan around your needs is the best way to learn and make decent progress over a short amount of time.
Above all else, enjoying learning has always been the most important thing for me. My lessons are always delivered in an enjoyable yet informative manner. I fully believe that happy students are more likely to reach their goals and with this in mind I will always listen closely to your goals and what you'd like to achieve whilst we take lessons together.

Although my lessons are enjoyable, I also like to make sure my students have a good understanding of music. I believe that this is best done in small chunks and that way its easier to remember. I also think that this is also the same with practice. I promote healthy practice and generally this should be little and often and then it's a lot easier to retain information.
I offer my lessons to both beginners and advanced singers. Regardless of your level, I will always make a practice plan and lesson plan that moves at a pace that you feel comfortable with. I'm well aware that all students learn at different speeds so no two lesson plans are ever the same, I really believe in moulding my teaching style to fit the student is the best way to move forward.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I'm more than comfortable to teach beginners and advanced singers. I will make a lesson plan that suits your ability level.
I have experience in teaching beginners
Since about 4 years old I have been singing along with my sisters. We would travel to Nottingham, Derby, Boston area singing music when we were little. I was the only one to carry on singing, theory, and composition.
I have been composing music since age 8. I have written many religious pieces of work and help many of my students with compositions if they desire. I started my professional performing career at a very young age.
I also love performing in my spare time and love hosting charity events with my students; collectively we raised £980. I perform mainly classical, opera, and musicals but I teach all genres of music.
I encourage learning familiar music and styles
I have completed all my grades with ABRSM. I traveled to America and studied Opera; I studied for 1 year learning Classical techniques, vocal anatomy, and music theory. This means I understand what it's like to take singing grades and will happily help you go through yours as well.
I have been teaching singing for 10 years now and enjoy this part of my life so much along with being a Mother and currently a student at the Open University studying Spanish. My teaching and life experience can help you learn and even gain confidence in yourself and your ability.
My teaching style is good for all ages. In the past I have taught children, teens and adults. I will always adapt my teaching style depending on your goals. I mainly use the ABRSM theory and piano grades if desired by the student.
Music shops in the local area
Shepshed only really has one option when it comes to music stores. If you want more options I would recommend online stores or travelling further afield.
Drum Cycle, is the only music shop in the local area and it sells a mix of instruments as well as some sheet music. You can find them at 58 Hall Croft, Shepshed, Loughborough LE12 9AN.

My lessons are charged at £15 per half hour and £30 per hour for all students.
I take the majority of my lessons from my home teaching space in Shepshed.
I teach both adults and young learners in a wide range of styles.
Weekly lessons are the best way to improve your singing but I also have some students that take fortnightly lessons as well.
Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will still be charged full price.
