About

About	After studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA I moved to London and developed a career as a session musician, composer, and teacher. I am a member of the band The Boxer Rebellion and the touring guitarist for Freya Ridings, with both of whom I have toured the world several times. I’ve played many major festivals, TV shows, and radio shows. I have taught dozens of guitar students over the last 10 years, from Beginner to Advanced levels, both privately and in schools. Whether you’d like to learn purely for fun, or take a formal route and prepare for ABRSM, Trinity, or Rockschool exams, I will tailor lesson plans and teaching material to cater to whichever path you choose. Reading music is an excellent skill to possess as a musician but is not vital to learning to play. I’m particularly passionate about teaching children and beginners and giving them a great introduction to the world of music and performance. I am also able to teach more specific skills relating to music theory, composition, and production. I have in-depth knowledge of theory and harmony, as well as Pro Tools, Logic, and other music software. Music Qualifications & Achievements: A-Level Music Grade 8 Electric Guitar Grade 8 Electric Bass Studied Contemporary Writing and Production at Berklee College of Music Performed on Top of the Pops, The One Show, Chris Evans Breakfast Show, BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, BBC World Service, etc. Performed at venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Barbican, Shepherds Bush Empire, Hammersmith Apollo, Bowery Ballroom, etc. Festivals including Glastonbury, Reading, Isle of Wight, Latitude, Lowlands, Best Kept Secret, Montreux Jazz Festival, etc. I have opened for shows for the likes of Ray Lamontagne, Elbow, The Staves, Bhi Bhiman, Arcade Fire Composer for Feature Documentaries and Independent Films including ‘Mercy: An Orphans Journey of Survival’ (ABC News), ‘The Ocean Cleanup’ – Music and Sound Design, ‘Poached’ film by Director Jesse Lin In-depth knowledge of Pro Tools, Logic and Sibelius
