I have experience playing all kinds of music and this reflects in my teaching style because I like to make sure all of my students learn the music that they enjoy. I can offer lessons in all styles of popular music, giving you the ability to utilise the vast range of sounds and textures that a guitar is able to produce.

I have experience in teaching a wide range of ages and offer my lessons to those aged 6 years and above. I also have a great deal of experience in teaching adults.

I can help you learn both electric and acoustic guitar, depending on your musical preferences and will build a course of lessons ideally suited to your learning objectives and previous playing experience.

My Experience as a Teacher

I am a musician, producer, activist and currently employed as an assistant Studio Manager based in Liverpool, UK. I also teach private students drums, bass and guitar. I studied a BA (Hons) in Popular Music and completed this degree at John Moore’s University, Liverpool, UK.

I blend this academic knowledge with many years performing experience. I have performed many different acts on various different festivals, notably Liverpool’s Sound City music festival with signed local act Seprona and the Brazilian- themed Brazilica festival with Latino-rock fused act Akel.

When creating music I like to make work that is both sensory and interdisciplinary but I am also extremely passionate about contributing art towards changing things for the benefit of humanity and the world we all live in. For my teaching I focus on helping students to build the skills they require to play the guitar with confidence and ability.

My focus is on keeping lessons fun and educational – including some theory and studying students' favourite songs so they can put what they have learnt into practice.

I have a wide range of experience when it comes to performing and composing. I can prepare students for exams, live performance or even how to write and compose your own music.

As I have my own studio, I have all the resources needed to take engaging and fun guitar lessons in a relaxing environment.

Liverpool's music-rich history leaves it with plenty of music shops. You can find anything you might need in the wide variety of music shops on offer in the area. Here's a brief list of some of my favourite locations.

Rimmers Music, is a relatively new store having opened in 2014 but is one of their largest in the UK. This shop is very modern and caters to all levels of guitarist. They are located on the way into Liverpool city centre at Savoy House, West Derby Road, L6 1AE.

Dawsons Music, Is a Uk wide chain of shops that offers everything from guitars to drum kits & everything else. Dawsons Music often has discounts on ex-display stock so are worth a visit on 14-16 Williamson Street, L1 1EB to see what you can get your hands on.

Pro Tone Music, specialise in selling pre-owned instruments, as well as offering a repairs and set-up service. For those strapped for cash, shops like these can be a great way of picking up an instrument at lower prices. They are located at 38 Renshaw Street, L1 4EF.

I recommend weekly or fortnightly lessons for the best results, however, the frequency of lessons is entirely up to you.

What happens if I have to cancel a lesson?

Please note Guitar Lessons Liverpool operates a 24-hour cancellation policy. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will still be charged full price, unless of a genuine emergency.
