Welcome to
Welcome to guitar lessons Hammersmith, My name is Andy & I'm an experienced player and teacher with over 12 years of experience who is here to help you improve your playing or start learning from the ground up. I like to make sure my students develop good playing habits as well as learning the music that they enjoy along the way.
I'm a firm believer that the best way to to learn to play the guitar is to enjoy what you're learning. During our lessons together I will always make sure that we create a learning plan that suits your needs as a player and learner. Ultimately, these are your lessons and I am here to help you in whatever way you need, whether that is wanting to learn a couple songs, speed up your playing, tidy up your playing or improve on your theory.
I like to make sure my lessons are always enjoyable because from experience, I find that students who enjoy learning will always make more progress. I'm a down to earth guy who's easy to talk to and I always like to maintain that kind of relationship with my students. I want all of my students to feel comfortable to discuss their playing with me as well as any problems you may have. This way we can maintain an easy going environment where you can really push your playing to the next level. I'm always happy to answer any questions that my students might have. I will always approach the lessons with care and attention to the small details that help you become the best guitar player you can be.

I'm a guitar player with a great deal of experience, both playing and teaching. I will use this experience to make sure your lessons are always of the highest quality. Regardless what you want to learn, I will always make sure we approach it in the correct way whilst making sure we pay close attention to your technique and work together on how the best way to approach the song would be.
Guitar can help you improve and gain a wide range of skills & one of these is confidence. I've been there myself and have performed in front of crowds of people, I will use this experience to help you gain confidence to do the same. I'm well aware that performing in front of others can be difficult and I will be happy to help you gain the confidence in yourself to be able to do that.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I'm comfortable teaching both beginners and advanced players. I will always make a lesson plan that suits your current skill level and will strive to improve together.
I started playing guitar at the age of 12 thanks to my dad, listening to guitarists such as Randy Rhoads, Jimi Hendrix, Gary Moore, Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, etc… In 2009 I moved to London, after winning a scholarship to study at Tech Music School, one of Europe’s leading music college, where he graduated in 2010. Over the years I have played and toured Europe with a number of different bands and played some of London’s iconic venues, such as 02 Shepherds Bush Empire, 02 Islington, 100 Club, Beck Theatre, Barfly, Underworld.
In London, I have been writing and recording music with rock bands Kill for Eden and Future Shock, and also worked with producer Phil Kinman (Doogie White, Tank, Driven), and Ade Emsley (Iron Maiden, Steve Harris, Voodoo Six), and TOMMY DE CARLO, lead singer of American rockers BOSTON.
In 2012 I was voted Best Individual Performer, by Playmusic Magazine, in the same year I received a guitar endorsement deal with Fret-King Guitars. In 2014 I was selected to take part in the “Vivaldi Metal Project” album, a project involving musicians from all over the world including Rick Wakeman (Yes), Mark Boals, Michael Lepond (Symphony x), Atma Anur and many more.
I have been teaching privately and in music schools for over 10 years, a variety of styles and techniques from beginners to advanced. Whether you are just starting or can already play, I can help you develop a solid practice routine that will target specific areas of playing, but, most importantly, I want you to develop your own voice on the instrument just as I’m always constantly doing.
Whatever your goals, I'm sure we can achieve them together. My lesson plan will make sure you learn the music that you love while making sure you still learn good technique and have a good understanding of theory.
My guitar lessons can be moulded to whoever is taking them. I don't believe in having one course that everyone will follow, I prefer to personalise our course and lesson plan depending on your strengths and weaknesses. Before we begin our lessons, I like to make sure you give me a rough idea of where you want to go and what you have struggled with in the past, from here we can push on to where you want to be.
Here are a few shops in the local area that we would recommend for guitarists.
X electrical, is an exchange shop which usually deals in consoles and computers but every now and again they can have some great second hand guitars on offer. Check them out at 125 King St, London W6 9JG.
Rockbottom Music, located in nearby Croydon, is the best option if you want a shop that specialises in musical instruments. They have a great range on offer and you can find them at 68-70 London Rd, Croydon CR0 2TB.
