I teach beginners to advanced students, helping students learn through the music that inspires them no matter what genre or style.
I cover both electric and acoustic guitar, priding myself on my friendly and engaging lessons individually tailored to each of my students. My lessons are always enjoyable and built around the styles of music that you enjoy in your spare time.

Learning guitar is an activity that should be fun, not frustrating and dull. Therefore, my lessons are all about playing the music that inspired you to pick up the guitar in the first place. I am an expert at tutoring beginner students, so can help you play the guitar even if you have never touched one in your life before.
I have many years teaching experience and would be more than happy to help anyone on their learning journey.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I welcome students of all ages to take my lessons. I will make a lesson plan that suits your needs as a learner.

I started playing the guitar as a child and it has been my passion ever since. I have immersed myself in a variety of styles from classical to pop, from rock to reggae! This has allowed me to play with many different bands/artists which has helped me to strengthen my playing by incorporating many different styles and techniques.
Whether you want to learn to play your favourite songs, work towards graded examinations or work on improving technique, I offer tuition in a friendly and engaging environment.
All students are welcome from complete beginners to seasoned players, I tailor lessons to suit you and the type of player you want to become.
I welcome advanced players to take my lessons.
While learning to play the guitar I can teach you how to read music and learn songs by ear which are invaluable tools for any musician! I can also teach you to improvise with other musicians which is an extremely fun skill to have while also being a key technique in any versatile guitar player’s arsenal.
The guitar is an incredible instrument and one that is immensely rewarding to be able to play. Like learning any new skill, the guitar will be challenging at times but most importantly it will be fun, and at least for me, that’s the only reason I play!
I have spent that last year studying improvisation techniques, specifically used for soloing. Subsequently, I have begun holding specific classes for more advanced students that tackle this through the area of guitar playing - already we have had some fantastic results with long terms students. I am a professional guitar teacher offering high quality tuition to students in the Derby area. Our lessons together will be built around the genres and the styles that you enjoy and love. My lessons are currently priced at £15 per half hour and £25 per hour. Please email to discuss what option would be best for you.
I teach the majority of my lessons from the Creative Central studio located on New Street, Derby, DE1 2LX. It is a great place to learn to play the guitar, boasting all the equipment you will need for your guitar lessons.
I teach children and adults of all ages. I really feel that music and learning guitar should be for everyone.
Weekly Guitar lessons are by far the best way to learn to play the guitar as a learner of any level.
Please note that Guitar Lessons Derby operates a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. This means that if a lesson is cancelled within 24 hours of the arranged time the student will be charged the full price of the lesson. Should you need to cancel a lesson please contact me at your earliest opportunity to re-arrange.
