I have experience in teaching students of all ages in a wide range of styles and genres & would be happy to teach you about the genres that you love to listen to.
I have experience in teaching both young learners and adults & I'm happy to offer my tuition to students over the age of 5.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I welcome both beginners and advanced students to take my lessons. I will make a personalised lesson plan that suits your needs as a learner.
I have been in bands and also been in an acoustic duo and played in many bars and pubs. With all my lessons you will get a pdf with tablature that covers everything we did in the lesson and what to practice to help you develop your guitar skills more quickly.
I really love Teaching Guitar and I have found it very challenging over the years but with passion, structure, and goals I have managed to get to where I want to l be and so can you!
Over the years, I have achieved a Grade 6 Rockschool Electric Guitar, Grade 5 Rockschool Electric Guitar, Grade 2 Classical London School of Music & I'm currently studying grade 8 in guitar.
I'm registered as a Rockschool guitar tutor and have studied several of their grades independently.
I can support you through their electric guitar grades if this is of interest. I teach a variety of styles from classic rock, hard rock, heavy metal, blues rock, funk rock, blues, funk, jazz-funk, punk, pop-punk, and acoustic and music theory and how to apply it. I can also help with improvising, ear training, improving rhythmically, and advanced electric guitar techniques.
I will make sure you learn in a direction that you want to & will make sure we always learn the music that you enjoy and love.
Cheltenham has a wide range of music shops available & these are the few that I would recommend.
World Of Guitars, is the best place to go if you are looking to buy a new guitar or a used guitar. They have a great range of acoustics and electrics and are located at 374 High St, Cheltenham GL50 3JE.
Secondwind, is the best place to go if you are looking for reasonably priced guitars for intermediate or beginner players. You can find the store at 217 London Rd, Charlton Kings, Cheltenham GL52 6HY.
Cheltenham Violins, is a great place to go if you play the violin or are looking for a new or used violin. They are located at 7 Henrietta St, Cheltenham GL50 4AA.
I'm an experienced performer and guitarist who can help you rapidly improve your playing in a wide range of genres and styles. I can make sure you enjoy learning and always learn in a direction that you want to. For more information, please send me an email.
[email protected]My lessons are charged at £20 per half hour, £30 per three-quarters of hour and £40 per hour for all of my students.
At the moment, most of my lessons are taught over Skype. However, I also have a dedicated teaching space in the GL52 6TT area of the city.
I offer my tuition to both young learners and adults. I would however, recommend starting no younger than age 5.
Weekly lessons are recommended but if you'd like to learn less frequently then that isn't a problem.
Please note that Guitar Lessons Cheltenham operates a 48-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your lesson with less than 48 hours notice then you'll still be charged full price for the lesson.
I teach Monday to Fridays each week and will work with each student to find a suitable time for them within the working week.
