Booking Systems (All Teachers)
Posted by Eliza Fyfe on July 5, 2024 at 12:03 pmRuth Discua was telling me about Yellowschedule. Have also found BookingBug… anyone know about these kind of admin systems for managing bookings etc.? Sounds good, just want to pick the right one… and I’d like the choosing of the admin system and system itself to not create a lot of admin 😉

I found a free one which is pretty good! I can’t remember what it is called so I will have to have a look tomorrow. It took me a few days to get my head around it but it all works and I can get an upfront deposit through it, so it’s bye-bye time wasters!

Oh good – that is literally what I’m looking for for my new teachers who are experiencing first lesson cancellations (grr!)
-
Yes it’s for that exact reason as I still get them now, but hopefully when my new teacher starts she will never have to put up with it! I’m also going to apply it to people who sporadically have lessons and mess me about doing so. I honestly don’t know how people can do it, you wouldn’t do it to your GP!

Just anything that makes life easier and gives me time to sleep at night really. Because as you can see, I don’t do as much sleeping as I should!

I use BookFresh, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Not enough options and a bit lame overall. I basically went for it because the woman endorsing it had an amazing name: Jenny Clevidence. http://www.bookfresh.com

booking bug seems better although yellow schedule are getting an app and pament system they said

Was looking into this a while ago and I liked two programs… One was called acuity scheduling but the other I can’t remember.. Hmmm I’ll let you know when it comes to mind.

Maybe Yellowschedule is the way forward. As long as it’s not a long admin job in itself to set up!!

The one I use is called SimplyBook, it can be free to use or you can pay for more features, something like £6 a month. I’m going to try it with the free package and if I need more I will just have to pay

Ye yellow is simply set out that’s why I chose it.. but now these other booking systems are coming to light I would say have a try of all and tell us which is best lol xx
-
tbh I went through a few! I looked at SimplyBook, Acuity, Smoothbook…. in fact I think every single one on the 1st page of google! I nearly went for smoothbook but it was incredibly confusing and it was a right pain to add another teacher onto it! SimplyBook once you know it is pretty easy to use

Ok cool. I didn’t even know what to type into google tbh! It was Ruth that told me this idea existed!
-
I just typed in ‘online booking systems free’ and loads come up
-
i got the idea from dentists and doctors how easy they book people in and take payment then it went from there lol

Want to draw attention back to this… so what’s the winner for bookings, automated texts and payment reminders etc?
-
yellows added a payment system.. too pricey though like 50 per transaction :/
