Best Books About Singing (Singing Teachers)
Posted by Kat Hunter on August 27, 2015 at 1:30 pmHi All,
I’ll have a little extra time to read this holidays and was wondering if any of you have books about singing you’d recommend. Technical stuff is welcomed, but anything really. Go!

I was surprised that Roger Love had coached Eminem…somehow wouldn’t think the two would have got on, Love being full of energy bouncing around and Eminem seeming the slightly quieter type prone to exploding now and again! But anyway apparently they hit it off!

Hey Eliza,
I’ve heard some mixed reviews about old Roger Love. What’s his teaching method? Anything in particular you took away from his book?
-
Agreed – I had some mixed reactions: not the Love-in I was expecting!

I haven’t finished it to be honest. I’m not a big reader. Or even a small one. But the first few chapters and I was sold – it just made sense to me! I love how he compared with the speaking voice and detailed expression and tone. Looking forward to reading the rest! What are your thoughts? He does seem to name drop an awful lot… and actually seems to have a rather annoying voice himself, which surprised me!
