My Lessons

Learn To Play The Cello

I began playing the Cello in my teens, since then I have learned a variety of techniques and ways to make learning fast and enjoyable. As a multi-instrumentalist, I understand how hard it is to learn a new instrument and know the techniques to make learning easier.

I pride myself on being a friendly, focussed and professional teacher. I like to make my lessons fun and engaging for both children and adult students whilst making progress on the Cello.

Prices:

£25 per hour

Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.

Beginners & Advanced Students Welcome

I am pleased to offer my lessons to students of all ages and abilities. I will make a lesson plan to suit your needs as a learner and player.

My Experience as a Teacher

I started learning cello when I was a child. Since then I have really developed a passion that I want to share with others and the world.

At University, I began to study music, this was also an amazing experience and something I like to share with my students.

I have been teaching cello privately ever since graduating, as well as working with several choirs and ensembles.

More About My Lessons

I can offer high quality lessons for the Cello. I have worked with many different musicians and students of different ages and can adapt my teaching to suit the preferred learning methods of each student.

Together we can create a progress plan tailored to your individual goals and learning needs. I feel that students learn best when through playing the music they love, so I always teach with a student focussed approach.

I am a qualified teacher, having graduated from the University of Liverpool with a MusB first class degree, and achieving a ABRSM in Cello.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do lessons cost?

Lessons are £25 for an hour of tailored one-to-one tuition.

Where do the lessons take place?

Lessons take place at my dedicated teaching studio in central Oxford.

What ages do you teach?

I teach students of all ages and abilities from 8+.

Do I have to attend lessons every week?

I recommend all of my students take lessons weekly for maximum progress in a short time period. However I will be happy to take fortnightly lessons.

What happens if I have to cancel a lesson?

At Cello lessons Oxford we operate a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel a lesson, please let me know 48 hours before the start date. If a lesson is cancelled within 48 hours it will be subject to a full lesson cost cancellation fee with no exceptions.
