About

About

I am a classical guitarist from Liverpool who has been teaching guitar and music theory for over three years since graduation in 2016. I am capable of delivering electric guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, music theory and classical guitar lessons via Zoom or in person.

I graduated from Liverpool Hope University with a 2:1 and went self-employed in November 2019 running a music tuition business.

I have been performing in a rock band under various names since I was 14 and this is something I still do to this day. I am also a guitarist for hire and am capable of performing weddings, funerals, events, restaurants, fundraisers, functions and music shows of any sorts including for recording as a session player and as a recording artist.

Under my new business venture, I also deliver music lessons in primary schools for a company called Front Row Music based in Stockport, Manchester. I have a full DBS and deliver music and instrument lessons to a variety of ages of children from small to large groups.

For students studying their GCSE, A-Level and Undergraduate Degree course in Music, I can provide tuition assistance to help strengthen and test students knowledge of their course material and give them a stronger understanding in order to help them prepare for exams. These lessons are priced equally to Music Theory lessons.

My entire young life has been centred around music and to make it my full-time job is a dream come true.

We are a group of “elderly” lady bowlers. One of us was given a ukulele as a Christmas present and we decided we all wanted to learn. We eventually found Paul and have never looked back. We play for fun (no exams!) and call ourselves the Ukuladies. We meet once a week, have a great laugh, and actually don’t play too badly. We are about to embark on our first concert to strangers (having played to friends and fellow bowlers in the past, definitely biased!) A bit scary but because Paul makes it fun I’m sure the audience will enjoy it as much as we do. Thank you Paul.

Paul is an inspirational teacher for young kids just starting out – gets them playing their favourite pop tunes as well as the exam pieces! Combines a thorough, professional approach with an easy-going and flexible style, too.

I’ve started to learn the guitar a little late in life but Paul gives tailored guidance and constant encouragement to improve. A very talented, patient and flexible teacher – always a pleasure to work with.

My daughters, aged 12 and 9, have benefited from Paul’s excellent guitar and ukulele tuition for the past 3 years. His teaching style is relaxed and encouraging and the facilities in his modern studio are excellent. They have both made huge improvements in their chosen instruments and always look forward to their lessons. I would highly recommend.

Great focus on understanding Asveth’s skill and teaching as per his speed and learning. Asveth would love to continue with you as far as he can and also, play for the band. You are a great teacher. Thank you.

My 13-year-old daughter has been learning from Paul for a few months now and I couldn’t be happier with her progress. I’ve never seen her light up like she does when she’s learning about music with Paul and he’s even got her into a band with some other students. The music studio facility is fantastic and his patient style is both effective and nurturing. I can’t recommend him enough 🙂

Grace really enjoys her lessons with you and we are pleased with her progress. She has covered a wide range of music genres and is clear on areas she can work on to progress. I can highly recommend you as a teacher.
