Hey, I’m Matt and I offer one-to-one guitar lessons in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire.

I’m an experienced guitarist with teaching experience and my excellent value lessons offer the perfect place to start for beginners and improvers.

What I’m offering:

• Learn your favourite songs
• Gain confidence with strumming and timing
• Go through the grades and get UCAS points (with Rockschool, Trinity, ABRSM)
• Change chords effortlessly
• Understand the principles of music theory
• Flexible approach to suit you
• All styles taught

I offer lessons both in-person and online and I’m happy to travel. I have a teaching space at my home which is in Newcastle-under-Lyme close to Stoke-on-Trent and I have all of the equipment necessary.

I’m an experienced guitarist and have performed in covers and original bands and have recorded my own material. I’m currently in the process of completing the RSL Rockschool grades myself and perform to a grade 6 level and I’ve also completed other online guitar courses including Fender Play.

I realise that every student has their own aspirations and goals. If you’re aiming to take a more academic route and learn grades or perhaps you wish to take a more laid back approach and simply want to develop your skills and make music – I will adapt my lessons to your needs! I can accommodate all ages and abilities and hold a valid enhanced DBS check.

Music Qualifications & Achievements:

• I’m currently in the process of taking the electric guitar grades with RSL Rockschool.
• I currently play as lead guitarist and singer with established and a well-respected covers band.
• I co-founded an alt-country band ‘The Black Widows’ that played all over the UK and made two albums.

Location:

I teach my lessons from a teaching space located on Lancaster Road, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Newcastle, ST5 1DS, UK. My full teaching address will be provided upon your first lesson booking.
