About Me

Hello! My name is Kirill! I’m a musician, guitarist, guitar tutor and just a guy who likes music, live music and people. I’m from Lithuania, I speak 3 languages: English, Russian and Lithuanian. I started playing guitar when I was 11 (I’m 24 now), mostly inspired by bands and composers like Nirvana, AC/DC, Metallica, Pantera, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, The Beatles and so on. As I musically grew up, I got to know new cool musicians and composers, such as Paul Gilbert, Yngwie Malmsteen, Guthrie Govan, Shawn Lane, Ted Greene, Eric Johnson, Allan Holdsworth Frank Zappa, John Coltrane, John McLaughlin, Herbie Hancock, Andreas Oberg, Billy Strings and so many others…

When I was about 16 years old I started giving guitar lessons. I did individual and group lessons back in Lithuania for 3 years with many students passing through. When I moved to the United Kingdom, I started playing live music much more and I was able to meet more interesting musicians. I live in Aberdeen, and here I play at local pubs, playing covers for folks and jamming with many awesome musicians around the town at the blues nights and open mics. I play live music every week, teaching music to my friends and relatives, and trying to increase our fun musical society!

What do I play? – a bit of everything, starting with blues, country and rock, and developing on to funk, metal, pop, fusions of different genres and so on. Who do I accept as a student? – Anyone! I accept students at any level, and will teach them all the genres, concepts, techniques and theories which I use and encourage them to play live with my help, playing cool tunes, enjoying music around the town and seeing different interesting local musicians! Also, I see my mission is to explain that music is a language, and most importantly I will try to encourage becoming a self-taught musician to make future learning much easier and more interesting! I’m self-taught as well and I like to explain different problems- the more questions the student asks, the better they help me to help him and in doing so I learn more, as teaching is a double learning, so the student will help me too! If you are curious about my level of playing or if you are interested in my original music or you would like to contact me I will leave a links below!
