I have experience in teaching both children and adults. I welcome students of ages 4 and above.
I teach a wide range of styles including Jazz, Pop, Musical Theatre and Classical.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I welcome both beginner and advanced students in a wide range of styles and genres. I will make a lesson plan that suits you.
I have a great deal of experience teaching beginners.
My philosophy is that everyone can sing! I believe that singing is both fun and therapeutic for all, whether you're looking to sing in private or perform on stage.
I graduated from Leeds College of Music studying Jazz vocals where I studied under Lauren Kinsella (Snowpoet). As well as performing Jazz, I also perform my original music and arrange music for my function band.
I regularly perform around Yorkshire at venues including Belgrave, Headrow House and Seven Arts and have performed at the Jazz Leeds Festival in 2018 and 2019.
I'm able to teach a wide range of styles
I am happy to teach singing to all abilities whether beginner or more experienced. I want to know what you want to get out of the lessons whether it be: confidence, experience in a particular style, technical help, or exams.
For the first lesson, I would ask the student to bring in a song they want to start with. But don't worry if you can't pick! I have plenty of sheet music we can use instead. We would do a vocal warm-up and I would assess the areas we want to work on in particular.
Each singer is unique and each lesson is also entirely unique. I will always make a lesson plan that works for you and that is at a pace thats suited to you.

There are a wide range of music shops in the area & in nearby Leeds. Here are a few I would recommend.
PMT Leeds, is probably the best option in the area for any musician. They have a great range of equipment and instruments for all. You can find them at Citygate, 9 Kirkstall Rd, Leeds LS3 1LH.
Beej Guitar Repairs, is the best place in the area where you can get some great rates on guitar repairs. You can find Beej at Unit 7, Armley Link, Trading Estate, Armley Rd, Leeds LS12 2QN.
Dawsons Music, is a UK wide chain of music store that cater to everyone from guitarists to vocalists. You find anything you need at their store based on 113-115 Vicar Ln, Leeds LS1 6PJ.
My lessons are focussed on building good technique and posture whilst learning what you want to learn. In terms of content, that is completely down to your preferences. However, I will make sure we have a good grounding in theory and cover all the necessary aspects to reach your desired goals. Using all the previously mentioned ideas I believe we can get the results you want in whatever realistic timeframe you may have in mind.

My lessons are charged at £30 per hour for all of my students.
I take most of my lessons from my teaching space on Meanwood Road, LS6 4AY, Leeds. I can also travel to you for lessons if you like.
I teach students of all ages (4+) how to sing & have a great amount of experience teaching beginners and advanced singers.
For the best results, I recommend weekly or fortnightly lessons.
Lessons cancelled with less tan 48 hours notice will still be charged full price.
