My Mission

Experienced Teacher

I have been singing professionally for many years and in this time I have been learning and perfecting fundamental techniques that I would be delighted to pass onto you. I pride myself on offering high quality singing lessons that are suitable for any student, no matter if you have never sang before or if you've been singing for a while.

I believe I am a friendly and approachable teacher, who is here to help and support you on your singing journey as much as I can. I remember very well what it's like to be a student, so I will always do my best to keep our lessons as relaxed and as fun as possible. I believe learning to sing should be a fun experience and I will always strive to make sure this is the case.

I believe everyone should experience the benefits of singing and with the right training and guidance it's something that anybody can do. As a result of this, I offer lessons to students of all ages and abilities from anywhere from the ages 4+. I understand that young learners and adult learners will always learn differently so I will always adapt my teaching style and content to suit the individual student.

Although I specialise in teaching Classical and Pop singing I provide lessons that cover all different styles and genres. I will show you how to maintain your voice and how to sing safely to make sure your voice is protected for years to come. Safe and correct singing technique is really important as poor technique can really damage our voices in the long term.

Beginners & Advanced Students Welcome

I welcome both beginners and advanced students to learn and take my lessons. I will always make a lesson plan that suits your needs as a singer.

My Experience as a Teacher

I have always been passionate about singing, so much so that I have studied for many years and I am now a fully qualified and professional singing teacher. Singing is such a great way to relieve stress and those every day frustrations we all feel, so I am very excited and passionate about giving others the ability to do this too. It is my goal as your teacher to bring out the best in your voice and to provide you with solid technical and mindset skills.

My love for singing began from an early age and I started taking part in various theatrical productions. One of my best achievements was being able to sing at the Royal Albert Hall which was such a great experience. I have taken and completed my exams through the ABRSM exam board and I have done AET level of teaching too. I regularly call upon the skills I developed here to offer relaxed and informative high quality singing lessons.

We all have our own individual style and sound when it comes to singing as all our voices are so unique. Having lessons is a great way to bring out the true potential in your singing voice. Singing is a great form of expression and I love being able to see the growth and development in your voice over the course of our lessons. Everyone has their own individual learning style and I like to teach in a way that will suit you so that you can get the most out of your lesson.

More About My Lessons

In my lessons I like to cover a wide range of musical topics. Not only will we cover good and healthy singing techniques to help you preserve and improve your voice, but I will also teach you music theory elements to help you improve as an all round musician too and not just a singer.

The lesson content will be tailored and focused to your specifically. I will always take the time to get to know you and to find out who your favorite artists are or those who inspire you most with singing. I think this is a really important part of our lessons and this will help keep you motivated and driven for our lessons.

I want you to leave each of our singing lessons feeling excited about what you've just learnt and keen to go away and practice and improve in between the classes. I try to offer a relaxed and comfortable learning environment for my students to explore and improve their singing voice. I think this is really important for building your confidence as a singer.

The Music Box, located inside Meadowhall Shopping Centre, Meadowhall Way, Barnsley, S9 1EP also provides all equipment needed in order to get your voice sounding as crisp and loud as it can. Here you'll be able to find PA systems and microphones for you to use.
