“Toby has taught our 8 year old son the piano for the last year. He has been so encouraging and calm in his teaching approach that he has ensured that our son has remained enthusiastic and practices regularly. Our son really looks forward to his lessons with Toby. Toby is an excellent teacher.”;

“Toby has taught our 10-year-old son for the last 12 months on a private one-to-one basis. The focus has been aural preparation for Grades 5 and 6. Our son has progressed enormously under Toby’s tuition and has grown in his musicianship. Toby has also taught aural to our 12-year-old daughter on a private one-to-one basis as she prepared for her Grade 7 ABRSM, in which she achieved distinction. Toby is an excellent musician and tutor. He has a very professional yet down to earth approach in his teaching and his passion for music is both obvious and infectious. It has been a real privilege to have had someone of Toby’s ability and character tutor our two children and to contribute significantly to their continuing development as musicians, and we cannot recommend him highly enough.”

“Toby is a really excellent tutor, who has greatly helped our son in the months he has been teaching him. He has a warm and unintimidating approach, but at the same time is well-organised and focused, and plans very well what needs doing. Highly recommended.”

“Toby came in late in the day to help my son with his GCSE music and was of great help to him both academically and with his confidence. He`s an excellent tutor and I`d highly recommend him!”
