About

About

Hello everyone! My name is Martina. I come from Italy but I have been living in Scotland for nearly 5 years.

From my early childhood, I attended the conservatory for piano lessons, I have also been in several choirs as well as other music courses for different instruments. However, the piano is the instrument I continued playing throughout my whole life.

As far as my professional background is concerned, I have a university degree in Engineering with specialisation in Architecture, besides speaking several foreign languages.

I have been working as a teacher for most of my career, providing tutoring in languages, musical theory and the fundamentals for piano playing. I am presently working as an online teacher and personal tutor for an American college and I have some private language students.

However, I have a true passion for music, especially the piano, and I would love to pass on to new pupils the skills in this beautiful instrument.

Music Qualifications & Achievements:

  • I attended the conservatory for piano lessons for 8 years of my life while I was in Germany
  • I have also been in several choirs as well as other music courses for different instruments
  • I have recently done a course in Vedic Chanting
  • I have taught music theory and the fundamentals of piano playing for several years throughout my career. I would love to do so again and pass on my interest towards this undying artistic tradition.

“Really impressed! Martina listened carefully and quickly identified my needs so we had a plan in place by the end of my first lesson. Martina’s explanations were clear and I felt that I’d worked hard and improved my understanding of the Italian language within my hour. I also found Martina encouraging and am looking forward to my next lesson.”
