Lewis Young
Music TeacherAbout
| About | I hold a First-class Honours degree in Music and Music Production, which has provided me with a deep understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of music. This comprehensive education equips me with the necessary tools to guide aspiring musicians, whether they are just starting their musical journey or looking to refine their skills. Throughout my career, I have had the incredible opportunity to perform on TV and radio, allowing me to share my love for music with a broader audience. One of the most memorable experiences was playing at the Royal Albert Hall. In addition to my live performances, I have also competed at a national level in banjo and mandolin competitions. These experiences have not only enhanced my technical abilities but have also instilled in me a deep appreciation for the art of performance. As your music teacher, I aim to pass on my knowledge and inspire you to embrace the thrill of showcasing your musical talents. Beyond my performance background, I possess a wealth of knowledge in music production. This expertise allows me to offer comprehensive guidance in the world of music creation, from recording and mixing to arranging and mastering. I take great pride in my work, and the music I have produced has garnered over 60,000 streams on Spotify alone. Through my experience, I have gained valuable insights into the industry, which I am eager to share with my students. As your music teacher, I prioritise a personalised and tailored approach to learning. Every individual possesses unique strengths, interests, and goals, and it is my mission to nurture and develop those qualities. Whether you aspire to excel in one of the instrument I teach, compose your own original pieces, or explore music production, I will provide you with the necessary guidance, encouragement, and resources to help you achieve your goals. My teaching style revolves around fostering a positive and supportive environment. I believe that learning music should be an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. By creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, I aim to inspire confidence in my students and encourage them to embrace their creativity fully. Throughout our lessons, we will explore various aspects of music, including theory, technique, sight-reading, improvisation, and performance skills. |
