I have very advanced piano skills and enjoy accompanying singers during lessons. I am a linguist, fluent in Welsh, English and French, and semi-fluent in German and Italian. I welcome singers of all ages and have a friendly approach to learning, based on academic principles.

  • I made my debut with Welsh National Opera as Guglielmo (Così fan tutte) and have since appeared in more than 70 operatic roles. I have given performances at major venues in North and South America, Australia, China, India, and most European countries.
  • I frequently records for BBC Radio 3 (in recital, and with the BBC NOW, CBSO, BBC SO, BBC SSO, BBC Philharmonic and BBC CO), and have made 40 commercial recordings as soloist, including more than 10 solo discs of songs.
