About

Hello, and welcome! My name is Jacob Lamb, and I’m a passionate musician and dedicated teacher based in Massachusetts. Music has always been a central part of my life, and I’m fortunate to share that passion with others through both my performances and teaching.

My journey in music education began in earnest in 2014 when I attended Berklee College of Music. Berklee’s immersive environment allowed me to refine my skills and deepen my understanding of the musical world. The experience was invaluable, not just for the technical knowledge I gained but for the incredible network of fellow musicians and educators I became part of. This community has been a continuous source of inspiration and collaboration in my career.

In 2015, I transitioned from being a student to a teacher, starting my journey in private music instruction. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with students of all ages and skill levels, helping them discover their own musical voices. Teaching has become one of my greatest joys, as it allows me to witness firsthand the growth and confidence that learning music can bring to a person’s life.

By 2020, I expanded my reach by creating online courses, making it possible for me to share my teaching methods with a broader audience. I’ve had the privilege of working with some fantastic companies in the music industry, including PreSonus, Ultimate Guitar, and Donner. These collaborations have not only enriched my professional experience but have also allowed me to contribute to the music community in meaningful ways.

One of the unique aspects of my teaching approach is a method I’ve developed called “GuitarFlex” lessons. These are asynchronous video lessons, which means that you can learn at your own pace, on your own schedule, without the pressure of live sessions. The flexibility of this method is ideal for students who have busy lives or who prefer to absorb information at their own speed. But flexibility doesn’t mean a lack of structure; my lessons are designed to be enjoyable and engaging while ensuring that you learn as much as possible. We focus on what you’re interested in, making the learning process personalized and relevant to your musical goals.

Outside of teaching, I’m always eager to meet new people and connect with fellow music lovers. Whether you’re interested in lessons, collaborations, or just want to chat about music, I’m here! Don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d love to hear from you.
