You could teach him/ her by sign language. This would help you a lot and you can teach other physical disabled people.

How to exercise? So far, what I have done is set the metronome to a tempo appropriate for me, and when the metronome clicks, I read the note and ring the bell. Is this even the correct way to practice playing?
