Hi, I found a small glockenspiel in the basement and am trying to play it. I would like to read notes and play melodies from notes, but I have a problem here: I look at the note, then I look at where the bell is that I have to strike, then I look at the note again and … I don’t know where I just read. I tried to help myself by striking the bells with my right hand and moving the stick to the next notes with my left hand. Thanks to the stick, I know where I left off and where the next note is. But this way is very inconvenient. There must be a better, professional way!

Hi, you are finding difficulty in playing it because you are not paying attention toward the notes. First all all fell relaxed concentrate it properly and play it. This will help you a lot. Also, practice play it again and again. First try not always successful in life.

      Okay,
but let’s say that at this point I already have a way to position the
instrument and sheet notes in such a way that I can see these two things
at the same time. How to exercise? So far, what I have done is set the
metronome to a tempo appropriate for me, and when
the metronome clicks, I read the note and ring the bell. Is this even
the correct way to practice playing?
