About

I am an experienced teacher of Piano, Guitar, Saxophone, Music Theory & Composition.

As well as face-to-face, I’ve been teaching online for a while, making lessons interactive and clear via multiple webcams and a virtual piano. Students love these lessons as much as face-to-face!

All ages and abilities are welcome. I believe it’s so important to tailor lessons to the learning style and music preferences of each individual. I’m incredibly versatile in the styles I teach, which include Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Folk, and Electronic.

I’ve been told I have a patient and friendly approach and always like to keep lessons fun and engaging!

For those who wish to enter for exams, my student pass rate is 100%

I am a graduate of Leeds College of Music, have a post-graduate teaching qualification and previously worked as a classroom music & music technology tutor for ages 11-18. I’ve led numerous ensembles including guitar and ukulele groups, jazz bands and choirs, and have led music workshops in primary schools.

I currently also work in the music industry as a composer and a performer and am a qualified music therapist. I hold a current & up-to-date enhanced DBS check for your peace of mind.

I look forward to hearing from you!

A fantastic teacher! She was so great at finding the right level for me and encouraging me to try new things outside my comfort zone. Coming back to the piano was something I’d wanted to do for a really long time and she made it so fun and creative, I couldn’t recommend Anna highly enough!

I have had three lessons with Anna and found her to be very friendly and professional. Anna has been very patient with my attempts to play the saxophone. She has made lessons interesting and I have enjoyed trying to play familiar tunes. Anna is an excellent teacher and I have learnt far more than anticipated at this stage. I would be happy to recommend Anna to others.

My son has been seeing Anna for a while now , we moved away from the area and moved tutors for a while but he begged to go back to Anna, he s enthusiastic about going, and she certainly keeps him interested! Anna is very helpful with booking lessons and is as flexible as she can be running her own business Would highly recommend Anna as a tutor.

This was my first guitar lesson with Anna and I felt at ease straight away and learned so much. Anna has an excellent teaching approach, knew exactly what I was looking to get out of my lesson and I came away feeling confident and couldn’t wait to practice the new strumming technique, melody and chords which Anna put together for me. I would definitely recommend Anna.

Thank you so much.

Anna has helped recapture my enthusiasm playing the saxophone, she has tailored the lesson to suit my taste in music with jazz and blues as well as paying attention to accuracy in reading music and technique. I would highly recommend if your looking for a tutor.

We are very happy with Anna. My son loves that she is so flexible and willing to teach him songs that he wants to learn as well as teaching him the basics. Guitar lessons are never a chore and are always looked forward to. A highly recommended tutor 🙂
