Our teachers have a wide range of teaching styles as well. Some can take you through graded exams while others can take you down a less traditional route, for example, learning the songs that you enjoy. Ultimately, the choice is yours, one thing all teachers can agree on is that lessons need to be built around the students’ needs and if the student is happy then so is the teacher. Can I learn to play the Piccolo?

It is a difficult instrument to learn but the short answer is yes, anyone can learn to play with the right level of dedication and practice. Learning to play the piccolo is a great way to introduce yourself to music and it can also be a great bridging instrument for other stringed instruments.

From a teacher’s perspective, we will always try to make a lesson plan that is easy to follow and maximises our learning capabilities. For beginners, lessons will be built in an easy to understand manner and for more advanced players, if you have something specific to focus on, your teacher will do so. It’s important to follow your teachers guidance as we have all been there ourselves at some point and any teacher will always be patient and recognise this.

So many people quit musical instruments within the first few months of playing, if you can get over the first few months, this is where it gets really fun and interesting and it’s also when you can start playing pieces that you both recognise and enjoy as a listener and player. It can take a while to build the correct technique but our teachers will always help you learn in the right direction and will put their ideas across in a way that’s easy to understand.

Some people try an instrument and then decide it’s not for them. I would still recommend trying, because you don’t know until you try. Regardless of whether you’re 50, 5, or 20, always try to follow your gut instinct with something like this. It can be daunting to begin with but I can guarantee after two lessons or so you’ll feel much more confident and comfortable. Regardless of your still level, our trombone teachers will make a lesson plan that works for you.

Learning shouldn’t be intimidating and our teachers will always go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable as a learner. Learning to play any instrument should always be an enjoyable experience. Remember that to learn anything takes a great deal of practice and time and this is also the case with Piccolo. Regular lessons coupled with practice is essential and you will see some results in a few months.

No two lessons are ever the same and teachers love to make sure that your lessons are individually tailored to your learning needs. If you ever have any questions about learning or any issues, our teachers will always make sure to go over them with you. As mentioned before, learning is difficult, but with the right teacher and right level of support, anything is possible.

If you are a young learner or a more advanced player then also please get in touch. All lessons are built around the students’ needs. If you are a parent looking for a teacher then please check each teacher’s profile to see their experience and whether they offer lessons for children and in most cases they probably will and will make a course that suits a young learner.

Our teachers are all here to help you achieve those goals you want to hit and it’s more than possible for anyone to do so. Most of us have to practice and take our time when learning and it’s just the way it is. For more information about what teachers offer, remember to check their profiles and check out their personal information.
