Hello, I am Sheridan Lloyd and I am a professional Piano teacher in Croydon, I offer high-quality Piano lessons in the Croydon area.
I like to adapt my style of teaching to suit the individual needs of my students, meaning my students can learn to play the Piano in a way that best suits them and makes them most comfortable.
Together we can create a plan of lessons tailored to your individual goals and learning needs. Whether that be learning musical theory or just learning to play the music you love, I would be delighted to help you on your musical journey.

I have gained a wide range of experience teaching large groups to individual lessons in my career as a professional musician, teaching my students to play music in the styles of Classical, Pop, Rock, Rock ‘N’ Roll, Funk and more.
Alongside learning your favourite music, I can help you with musical exams such as Rockschool, Trinity etc up to grade 8 level. More recently I have been teaching the piano on Zoom, adapting my style to suit the needs of my pupils. Some want to play from memory, some want to work on improvising skills and others want to play in bands.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I offer tuition to students of all ages and abilities in a wide range of genres and styles. I have large amount of experience in teaching both young learners and adults as well.

I studied musical composition and musical theatre singing at the BRIT School and then at Rose Bruford College where I did an Actor Musician BA Hons degree.
I have performed in the West End with Dreamboats and Petticoats when I was the keyboard player. I then became the Musical Director for the show when it toured in the UK. I have also been the MD for various other shows such as Cats (Theatre Royal Windsor) and Oklahoma! (Hong Kong).
I have arranged music for a number of professional singers and bands and recently, I spent six months teaching singing for the Centrestage Academy in Hong Kong. I am involved with a number of different bands playing a wide range of musical style. A particularly interesting job was as the musical director and conductor for the popular Christmas festival of carols at Emmanuel Church in Croydon.

I can offer a progress plan tailored to the students individual learning needs and musical goals. Together we can create a plan based on your favourite music and how to play it whilst building technique and new skills on the Piano.
I pride myself on being very reliable, thorough and patient as a teacher, I like to make the piano fun and easy for to understand. I have learned specialist techniques for teaching that makes learning piano enjoyable, fun and engaging.
I also offer online tuition via Zoom, this has been a fantastic way to connect and teach students from not just Croydon but all over the world. This takes any travel stress away from the student and they can learn from the comfort of their own home, and even record lessons to look back on at a later date.

South London Music caters for the needs of all levels of musician, ranging from a baby's first introduction to music (CDs, percussion), to music students of all levels (starters to grade 8 and beyond). With a wide variety of Digital Pianos and Keyboards in stock, this would be an ideal place to find a Keyboard for a young learner.
PMT London is located a short tube trip away on 35-39 Old St, London EC1V 9HX. PMT are one of the UK's largest reputable music retail chains. Lessons are £22.50 per half-hour and £34 per hour of one-to-one tuition. Zoom lessons are also available, get in touch to find more!

I am delighted to offer lessons to students of all ages and abilities from 7+.
I recommend students take lessons weekly for maximum progress in a shorter period of time, however I am happy to accommodate fortnightly lessons.
At Piano Lessons Croydon we operate a strict 48 hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel a lesson please let me know 48 hours before the start date. Any lessons cancelled within 48 hours are subject to a full lessons price cancellation fee with no exceptions.
