I teach multiple genres of music to enrich your learning experience. Whether this be rock, pop or acoustic, we will learn playing music you enjoy.
I teach students aged 5 upwards, and am able to offer foundation guitar lessons for beginners as well as tuition for intermediate and advanced students.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I welcome both beginners and advanced players to take my lessons. I will make a lesson plan depending on yur ability level.
Hi, I’m Niall, originally from Ireland and now an accomplished performer and teacher offering lessons in Worcester. I have over 15 years of experience performing live and on radio along with studio and compositional experience as well. I am currently in a progressive metal band Orpheus and frequently collaborate with a number of other artists.
I am offering guitar tuition both privately and for groups & schools and I always place an emphasis on serving the students’ needs first – Let me teach you what you want to learn!
Originally self taught, I have studied under two very accomplished music tutors in recent years to develop more advanced skills and so, I have acquired the ability to cater to both self taught musicians and those who have been taught via more conventional methods. This has allowed me to tailor my teaching methods to individual learners as opposed to some of the more blanket teaching methods you may have previously encountered. In my experience, said methods of teaching do not work for every student so instead, I encourage every student to learn at their own pace, in their own way.
I have lived in the West Midlands for 6 years and have just completed A Bmus Music Performance degree, graduating with a 1st for performance. Further to this, I am knowledgeable on the music business and live events management and would be willing to mentor in either study as well.
In addition to teaching services, I also offer a number of specialist music services such as session work for your recordings, songwriting consultancy, deputy guitarist for gigs and more. Please get in touch if you’d like to know more specifically about the services I offer.
I am currently available to work flexibly around your schedule and I am happy to provide lessons either from home or travel to you. I offer competitive rates and provide discounts on block bookings. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any further questions and I look forward to hearing you play!
For it's size, Worcester is lucky to have a good selection of music shops. This is great for musicians in the city who are looking to get started on a new instrument, or to purchase specialist kit they've been saving up for:
Worcester Guitar Centre, is where you're likely to find the best selection of guitars in Worcester. They specialise in strings and stock everything from amps to accessories across multiple brands. It is also worth noting that they sell pre-owned guitars as well, which can be a great way of picking up a quality instrument at a reduced price. You can find Worcester Guitar Centre at 6 Reindeer Court, WR1 2DS.
Music City Worcester, boasts a healthy selection of guitars both electric and acoustic and have something for everyone at a good range of prices. Not all their stock is listed on their website so it is best to pop in and have a browse yourself. Music City Worcester can be found at 61 The Tything, WR1 1JT.
Cranes Music, mainly specialise in keyboard and piano, but also have a nice selection of classical and electric guitars, particularly of the Yamaha brand. Their website lists all of their guitar offerings, or you can visit them in person at 26 New Street, WR1 2DP.
I'm a passionate musician who can help you really supercharge your guitar playing or help you start writing your own music. I will make a great and exciting lesson plan that is easy to follow for both beginners and intermediate players. I will make sure our lessons are also as enjoyable as possible. For more information, feel free to send me an email at any time.
[email protected]My lessons are charged at £30 per hour for all students.
I teach a lot of my lessons from my home teaching space in Worcester, WR4 9AP. I can also travel to my students for lessons.
I teach both adults and children in a wide variety of styles. I do recommend starting no younger than age 5 though.
Weekly lessons are the best way to improve when combined with plenty of practice at home in between lessons.
Please note Guitar Lessons Worcester operates 48-hour cancellation policy. Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will still be charged full price.
