Welcome to
Hello! My name is Casey Barrs and I am a professional guitar tutor located in central Bedworth. I offer industry standard guitar and bass guitar lessons from your own home in Bedworth.
I will bring a fresh new perspective of learning the guitar, to make it creatively fun and engaging. I would tailor the lessons, after establishing what the student wants to gain from their instrumental lessons.
I will teach the students on the route that they want to express, be that just learning an instrument for fun or to guide them through the guitar grades. I shall do this through the compounded knowledge, of the different areas of expertise I have acquired.

I believe that music should be for everyone. Because of this, I teach a wide range of styles and genres to students of all ages. I have experience in both teaching young learners and adults.
My lessons are always built around your musical tastes & the music that you love. I really believe that the best way to learn is via the artists and songs that you love to listen to.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I have experience in teaching all levels of player and welcome both advanced players and beginners.
I have been in amateur original bands, which gave me the experience of supporting pop-punk bands such as Man Overboard!
I have also played shows on the circuit of holiday parks fronting a function band as the guitarist and vocalist for a year.
Music should be shared for its vast benefits, from having fun and appreciation for music to the health benefits that can come with learning and playing an instrument. There are many more reasons for wanting to explore and take part in the musical endeavour, I believe it should be promoted to all people.
Music has been an integral part of my life for 11 years, with ever-expanding ways of learning how to express it. Originally what inspired me to play the guitar came after I started to listen to music regularly, which at the time was modern rock music.
I found myself hearing cool riffs, from my favourite bands at the time that sparked an interest in wanting to play those songs! As well as inspire me to make an original band with friends.
A lot of these cool riffs come from pop-punk bands like Sum 41, Blink 182 and pop-rock bands like You me at six, Deaf Havana. Over the years my music knowledge of genre, style and fundamental theory has increased, which has also led me to listen to music outside of the genres I have previously listened to, like rock music – it expanded me to listen to modern pop music, as well as some of the great musicians of the last 60 years.
I am often asked by new and current students about where they can pick up quality guitar equipment in Bedworth. We are lucky to have a few good options in the area that I would recommend as well as a few not to far away.
Hobgoblin Music Birmingham, located at 8 The Priory Queensway, Birmingham B4 6BS is a great all round music store offering a wide variety of musical instruments for all level and style of player.
PMT Birmingham, located at Unit 4, Trident Retail Park, 6 Westley St, Birmingham B9 4EH is one of the biggest stores in the UK and is known for it's fantastic range of guitars available to customers. They are also well known for having friendly and helpful staff.
Fair Deal Music, Located at 79-83 Holloway Head, Birmingham B1 1QP, is your best bet if you are looking for a more locally run music store. They also have a great online store that I would recommend checking out.
I am a passionate guitar player and teacher. My only goal is that you enjoy your lessons and go home after every lesson feeling great. Together we will create a lesson plan that suits and works for you & we will always learn in a direction that works for you.
[email protected]My lessons are currently priced at £14 per half hour & £20 per hour.
I am actually a mobile teacher & I will travel to you for your lessons. This means you can always learn from the comfort of your own home. I am also able to offer high-quality online guitar lessons.
I welcome students from the ages of 7 years old and upwards to attend lessons. I have a lot of experience tutoring younger learners, as well as helping many adult learners start to learn to play the guitar. Age, or shall we say life experience, is certainly not a factor in preventing a student from learning guitar, so if you are picking up the guitar for the first time and are worried you have left it too late to learn you have nothing to fear - a few lessons and bit of pratice and you will quickly settle into the grove of learning.
Not at all, we can have lessons whenever you want. Most of my students have a guitar lesson once a week, with a few having lessons once a fortnight or even twice a week. It is really up to you.
Of course, you can take your lessons in electric, acoustic or bass, the choice is yours!
Students can cancel their lesson at any point, up until 24 hours before the lesson.
If you want to cancel after this period (Except under exceptional circumstances) there will be a charge of 50 per cent of the agreed lesson fee.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
