Oh sorry, I meant I record myself using the iPad, I usually use ultimate-guitar.com to transpose songs to different keys! XD

With our singing students, everyone is different in voice and level,eg I cannot teach a lyric tenor with the same technique as a dramatic tenor. So the last dynamic they achieved is what they practice. We are tier 4 lockdown at the moment,so there is no in studio work, and for us zoom does not work well.Everyone can have tracks with no charge and hard copy sheet music for which there is no charge. If we can drop to tier 3 we would hopefully go back in studio, until then we are as we are.,We are booking auditions and performance for 2021 though. Will keep you posted as of change.

Hi, I am a vocal coach, currently in tier 4, so all my teaching is through ZOOM.US. I use a combination of backing tracks that I play and record myself; Utube backing tracks and then sometimes ask the student to record themselves on ZOOM to then send their rehearsed work to me I also record the session and send the student the recorded lesson…with my comments and practice notes.

I think you guys who teach singing etc have a much more difficult task than I do – or maybe I am not using enough resources ? I teach piano , I ask students to find recordings of exam pieces on YouTube but I have no idea how to record duet parts for example to send to students , which would be great if I could be I am not clever enough . Also i only use iPads and my phone – I don’t have access to anything Microsoft

I often use YouTube backing tracks or some of the rockschool guitar grade material so my students might use the backing tracks on YouTube for rockschool or they might use the grades material they have purchased which we would have gone through in lessons.

I use guitar pro7. 5 to write out guitar licks, scales, arpeggios and chords for my students to learn and practice and show different ways to use them.
