I have I think just over 50 students now. I have to be very careful with how much I teach as I have ME/CFS, I will not teach in mornings but do teach quite late to make up for that, and I have to have at least 2 days off a week or I will make myself poorly! I just have to stand my ground in that I will not teach on a Friday, or Sunday for that matter!

This is all really interesting! Yes you need to balance your life best as poss – I just power through back to back 45 min lessons from 3-8 in the week and I don’t feel like it’s too much, 25 hours in the week is ample for teaching because of all the work around it… It’s hard to keep on top of though! Still trying to find time saving solutions without just getting a PA who wants to work for next to nothing… Lol!

Saturday also may as well not exist for me socially – teaching all day then gigging in the evenings but I don’t mind too much atm

Yeah if I have a 7 hour day I try to split it so I can at least have a break in between, as thats what I had when I worked at Next 😛

Sounds about right then! I don’t do more than 4 hours straight basically, so yeah! People should never underestimate this job though. They can say, wow 25 hours and you earn way more than my office job or whatever it is, but it’s a lot more work than 9-5 Mon-Fri I swear!!
