    Hi Everyone,

I know this website is technically a database for students to find all of us as teachers but I thought it might be for everyone to introduce themselves and what they teach as a way for other teachers to refer back to it if they get asked about a subject they don’t teach. That way maybe they can refer the student to someone in this post that might be able to help them.

Since I started this post I guess I’ll go first.

My name is Amber and I love coffee, watching stand up comedy, and binge watching Law And Order.

I currently teach online students only in:
(Age 12 and up including adults. Beginner To Advanced.).

    — Regular Singing For Pop, Rock, and Metal. (Proper breathing, breath support, vowel modification, and tension release etc.).
    — General Vocal Health, Care, and Maintenance for Speaking, Singing, and Screaming.
    — Vocal Health Specific To Women. (How hormones effect the voice, dealing with PVMS, how hormone fluxations effect the voice, and how to adapt to it on a daily basis.).
    — Vocal Analysis.
    — Set Analysis.
    — In-Ear Monitor Guidance.
    — Studio Technique.
    — Show/ Tour Preparation.
    — Performance Technique.
    — Screaming. (Fry Only.).

Let me know more about all of you in the comments. I can’t wait to read your answers.

    Hi Amber,

Great idea – love this approach to building a stronger sense of community and collaboration between teachers on here! It’s such a great way to build a stronger sense of community and create opportunities to support one another through referrals.

I’m Matthew, the founder of MusicTeacher.com. I started out as a guitar teacher myself, first in Leicester and then in Exeter during my university days. What began as a single website to find a few guitar students for myself grew into a network of websites for music teachers across the UK, and eventually into what is now MusicTeacher.com.

At the moment, I’m working closely with Rockschool to develop a professional certification specifically for music teachers. The aim is to create a recognised standard that supports educators in demonstrating their expertise, growing their student base, and unlocking new teaching opportunities. It’s an exciting step toward offering more structured professional development and benefits for teachers across the platform.

Amber – your work around vocal health, especially the focus on women’s voices and hormone-related changes, is incredibly valuable. I can absolutely see teachers referring students your way when that level of specialist knowledge is needed. I can also see why this level of detail is currently not captured in teacher’s profile information, I will have a think on how I might be better able to do that moving forward!
