Peter Simons is a professional drum teacher and musician based in Manchester offering high quality lessons for students of all ages. Lessons are built around the student and cater to your individual requirements. Whether you want to learn for fun or work towards an exam, a detailed lesson plan will be worked out to help you achieve your goals with enjoyable and informative lessons.
Above all else, I want my students to enjoy their drum lessons. We can cover a range of familiar and unfamiliar music to develop your playing and understanding of theory. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or advanced player, I'm confident I can help you learn in a way that works for you.
My classes are designed to stretch your skills whilst keeping your goals in sight. I know that everyone learns at different speeds and I will always gauge my teaching style depending on what I think is best for you. I also encourage all my students to practice at home to further their progress.

I am happy to work on what will help you to progress the most whilst having fun behind a drum kit. This can be adapted for younger students to put more emphasis on simply becoming familiar with the instrument and having fun.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I welcome both beginners and advanced students to take my lessons. We will always agree goals at the start of our lessons and keep these under review.

I play a range of genres including Jazz, Rock and Pop, which has helped me to become a busy working musician. Some of my gigs include working in function bands, small jazz groups and with choirs.
I'm comfortable teaching beginners.
I was inspired to start playing the drums because of the energy and passion I saw in them, and my enthusiasm for the instrument has never left me.
I was invited to start teaching drums professionally when other students in my classes began to struggle and the teacher was overwhelmed with questions. He would send pupils to me as I could understand their musical problems and explain how to fix it, whether it was drum or theory related.

PMT Manchester, is the best option if you're a drummer and you're looking for some great deals on drums and a decent online store. PMT stock everything drum related you could ever need. You can find them at Red Rose Retail Centre, Regent Rd, Manchester M5 3GR.
Johnny Roadhouse, is also an all round music store but has a wide range of kits available for drummers. They are located on 123 Oxford Rd, All Saints, Manchester M1 7DU.
Nicko McBrain’s Drum One, is a great option for all those Iron Maiden fans out there who are looking for a drum shop. You can find the store at Astra Business Park, Guinness Rd, Trafford Park, Stretford.
I'm a young but experienced drum player and teacher who can help you improve your playing and improve your technique. My lessons are charged at £13 per half hour and £26 per hour for all students.
I take most of my lessons from my home teaching space.
I teach both young learners and adults how to play the drums.
Weekly lessons are probably the best way to improve your playing but I also offer fortnightly lessons.
Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will still be charged full price.
