I am an experienced teacher who has been teaching the drums for over 5 years. I gather on this experience to make sure your lessons are of a hight quality.

I teach a wide range of styles from Punk, Rock, Metal, Hip hop to Funk and Jazz. Regardless of your musical interests we will learn the music you love.
I take my lessons from my home studio which is easy to find and is also an extremely laid back and comfortable location to learn in.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I welcome and encourage students of all levels to join my drum lessons - I will always cater lessons to suit your preferences.
As previously mentioned, I have over 5 years experience in teaching drums. On top of that, I have been playing for over 20 years. My lessons are driven by my passion for Music.
All the previous experience that I have gained as a drum teacher and a performing drummer has helped me to make my drum lessons more interesting and engaging - I beleive this really helps students to achieve their goal rapidly.
I am always complimented on how down to earth I am and how easy to talk too I am. I will always make sure we work at a speed that works for you and if you ever have any problems you can tell me.
I prefer to make my lessons with my students in mind. This means that I will asses your musical preferences and we will always learn and grow with these genres and artists you love. I believe the best way to progress is through the music you love.
Due to my passion for music, I am extremely experienced in almost any genre you can think of. If you want to take lessons with myself I can guarantee we will learn the music that inspires you regardless of the genre.
Many drum teachers often start their cource with a year of marching drum patterns on the snare drum alone – I guarantee you will be playing a full drum beat and drum roll round the kit by the end of your 1st lesson!
My drum students often ask me where is the best music stores to buy drum equipment in Bristol. Thankfully, Bristol is home to several good drum shops!
First to check out should be PMT Bristol, which opened in May 2010. They have a huge selection of drum kits, cymbals, hardware, stands and other drumming paraphernalia. Indeed, this music store won an MIA Best Presented Retailer Award in 2014. Since then, it has continued to build on its great reputation for quality equipment and customer service.
Drum Bank Music, is also certainly worth a shout out. Located 4 Sommerville Road, Bishopston, Bristol, BS7 9AA Drum Bank Music is Bristol's only independent drum shop. The store has a good range of drumming equipment. Ideal for a drummer's everyday needs, with sticks, snares and kits aplenty.
Finally, the Hobgoblin Music Store, located 36 Park Street, Bristol, Avon, BS1 5JG, is ideal for traditional drums. The music shop has a great range of Bodhran drums, as well as other traditional percussive instruments. If this is your prefered style of drumming then this is the drum store for you!
I am an experienced drummer and teacher who can help you develop all aspects of your playing & develop your own playing styles. Together we will learn songs, improve your theory & develop good technique. I will make a personalsied lesson plan that best fits your need as a player. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email.
[email protected]My drum lessons are charged at £30 per 1 hour lesson.
I currently teach the majority of my drum lessons at my home studio based on Redcatch Road, Bristol, BS3 5DT.
I teach students from the age of 5 upwards to take drum lessons. Parents are welcome to sit in on the 1st lesson.
The frequency of lessons is up to the student, however, taking regular weekly or fortnightly drum lessons will help you reach your aims faster.
That is absolutely not a problem. Get in touch to let me know and we can re-arrange the lesson. Please do note that here at Drum Lessons Bristol I operates a 48 hour cancellation policy - if a lesson is cancelled within 48 hours of the arranged lesson time then the full lesson fee will be charged.
Write a final call to action to the student to book lessons.
