Hi, my name is Angus Munro and I am an experienced session singer and vocal coach. During my 15+ years of performing, I have sung beside the likes of Tom Jones, Scouting For Girls and Postmodern Jukebox, as well as having appeared on many radio and recording sessions. I currently teach many students from all over the world, from beginners of ten years and older to professionals looking for a challenge.
From pop to rock, I have performed in many different musical settings and have always taught learners with contrasting musical interests. During my lessons we can explore the unique techniques and traits that set famous styles apart from one another, mastering genre specific concepts in logical steps.
Some of my own musical accomplishments over the years have included appearances on various BBC radio stations, touring the world as a solo artist having recorded two albums and achieving ABRSM Singing Grade 8. I also hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Applied Music from the University of Strathclyde.

I currently teach an eclectic mix of young beginners to experienced senior adults. I love meeting new students of all descriptions and can guarantee that no matter where you may be within your musical journey, our lessons will keep you progressing and encouraged.
My lessons are available to students from all over the world via the popular video call programme; Zoom. Technology in recent years has helped millions of learners and teachers connect, bypassing the many logistical difficulties one may encounter in travelling for expert guidance.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
During my many years as a performer and educator, I have acquired excellent understanding of what it takes to make the most of your practice time. My current students benefit from focussed and informative lessons which aim to push their abilities forward.

During my time as a teacher, I have nurtured the skills of a wide variety of learners. From children aged 10 years old upwards, to senior adults, my support has helped develop the skills of many who continue to impress me with their progress.
As well as practical skills, my students also have the option of learning about parallel musical topics which often come in use for songwriters and session musicians. Such lessons can include guidance in music theory, contextual analysis and ear training.
I have become well versed in hosting online lessons with great success. My learners have regularly impressed me with their level of motivation and rate of development.

My lessons are meticulously planned and presented with the individual student in mind. We all have unique musical interests, ability levels and learning rates that help inform our very personalities, so it is important that my lessons are tailored to each learner independently.
Most musical development is achieved outside of lessons, and so it is important that my students fully understand exactly what and how to practice. My tuition provides learners with clarity and logical steps to keep them confident and motivated to reach the next milestone.
Ultimately, music and learning it's fascinating nuances should be an enjoyable experience. My teaching style is enthusiastic, and I always try to keep students encouraged and excited to progress further!

In recent years, online learning has become a vital asset for students and teachers from across the globe in connecting with one another.
As a student, the only requirement to access lessons is to have installed Zoom on a compatible device (laptop, tablet, smartphone etc.) and to follow a link which will be sent by me, directly to your email inbox.
Once you have clicked the link, Zoom will automatically open on your device and you will be sent straight to my 'personal chat room', from which you will be able to access our lessons.

My lessons cost £25 per 30 minutes and £40 per 60 minutes.
Lessons take place on Zoom; a popular video calling platform compatible on an enormous range of devices. By installing on Zoom, you will have access to 1-1 expert guidance wherever in the world you may be situated.
I teach all students from ages of 10 years old upwards. I have had great success with adult beginners also, and so I can confidently state that it is never too late to get singing!
Students are not required to attend lessons each week, however regular appointments certainly help to keep learners progressing at a steady rate. Therefore, I do recommend that students leave no more than two weeks between each session.
If you must cancel a lesson at an agreed time slot, then that is absolutely fine. I do however, insist that students keep to a 48 hour cancellation policy. This simply means that you must notify me 48 hours or more if you would like to cancel or postpone a lesson, in order to keep my time and your money working efficiently.
