Welcome, my name is Owen and I am an experienced guitar teacher who specialises in helping students across the world learn guitar on Zoom.
Alongside over 15 years of guitar playing, 10 years teaching in the music industry, I have a track record of having helped hundreds of students just like you to rapidly improve their guitar playing ability.
I also have touring experience and can help you build confidence in both yourself and in your playing. I'm comfortable teaching both young learners and adults.

The start-point for all of my students is assessing what musical styles, bands and songs that they want to learn. This student lead approach is blended with tried and tested technical exercises, cornerstone songs and sprinkeling of music theory to help you start playing the guitar in the way you want.
My focus is on helping you to quickly build the skills you need to execute the riffs, rhythm patterns and solos you set-out to play. This is achieved by ensuring the content that we content in lessons is rooted in music that inspired you to pick up the guitar in the first place.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.

Over the many years I have taught guitar, I have had the privilege to help both complete beginners to more advanced guitarists to develop their guitar playing ability - often well beyond their own expectations.
This ability to help students rapidly progress, through carefully planned courses of lessons for each student, is a consequence of my own journey as a guitarist and the many years of academic study I have undertaken in music.
I firmly believe in student focussed lessons. This means that I will always build the lessons around what you want to learn and I will always make sure that we agree on a learning direction before starting to learn together. I want my students to feel comfortable while learning.

Alongside welcoming beginner students, I also teach both intermediate and more advanced players to reach that next level on the guitar.
I have found that this is best achieved drawing in new styles and approaches to expand a students playing vocabulary. Often the exposure to new approaches, styles or concepts is what unlocks the key to help an intermediate guitarist to push on.
In combination with this, helping guitarist to create their own music is a core aspect of their journey to finding their own sound on the guitar. During my intermediate and advanced lessons my students explore how they can translate what they have learned up until that point into new guitar riffs and solos.
Lessons provided on Zoom, Skype, FaceTime & More
All you need is an internet connection of at least 3mbps (you can test this here - speedtest.net), a working camera and a guitar. Learning online has now become a normal and well established route for students around the world, with my students taking lessons with me from all corners of the globe.
So whether you based in the USA, Europe or beyond I can help you to significantly improve your guitar playing through carefully structured guitar lessons that suit your goals.
In regard to lesson payment I can accept both bank transfer and PayPal. For international students, I would recommend Paypal as it is a secure and well used payment platform. I will provide payment details when organising the lesson. Payment has to be received before the lesson can take place. If you don't send payment then your lesson will not take place.
Alongside my work as a guitar teacher, I have around 10 years experience in the music industry, I've toured the UK, Europe and more. I also have a wide range of recording experience as well which can help you develop new skills.
I'm still actively writing music and travelling the world to this date. Travel is something that I have a love for and I'm always excited to meet people from new countries and cultures.

I offer lessons on Zoom, Skype, FaceTime and other well supported platforms. Zoom can be downloaded via the following link: zoom.us/download. Let me know the platform that you prefer to use when enquiring for lessons.
Students from the ages of 10 year old are welcome for lessons.
The frequency of lessons is entirely your choice as the student. Most of my students take place weekly or fortnightly. I would recommend taking regular lessons so that you are able to build on what you have learned over time.
Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hour notice will be charged full price for the lesson. Please inform me as soon as you find out you are unable to attend the scheduled lesson so we can re-arrange it for a different day/time.
I am all set-up to provide extremely high-quality Zoom guitar lessons to you. I can also help you set up as well to take a lesson online. It's a lot easier than you'd think.
Learning via zoom should be an enjoyable experience for all and I conduct my zoom lessons in exactly the same way I conduct my face to face lessons.
