I can offer lessons on violin and viola and also tutor in music theory/ support musical studies in school. I have a positive approach and take into account the individuals needs and personality. I believe in a whole-person approach to musical education and ensuring the student is always comfortable and confident when playing and performing.
I grew up in Sussex and began learning the violin at the age of 4, before at 7 being introduced to and discovering the viola, which is where I found my voice. I always appreciated the power of music and the importance of a good musical education from effective teachers.
I have taught violin and viola for the past 4 years and began tutoring in music and music theory at the age of 18.
In addition to teaching, I am also a dedicated chamber musician, soloist and orchestral musician and have performed internationally at many prestigious venues, including Birmingham Symphony Hall, Royal Festival Hall with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, St Peters Basilica Rome and Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
I have also attended many music courses and festivals including Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival, Arpeggione, Pro Corda, Grittleton Chamber Music Course and have toured with the Landes Jugend Orchester Bremen with Tanja Tetzlaff.
I also enjoy performing as a soloist, in December 2018 I performed Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante directed by Julia Bishop and was consequently been invited back in 2019 to perform the Stamitz Viola Concerto.
I'm an experienced player and teacher offering high quality lessons in the Chelsea area. My lessons are always built around the direction that you want to learn in as a student.
