I’ve been playing the guitar from the age of 13 and was hooked straight away. Never did I think that it would open so many doors and lead to such a varied career; not only has it allowed me to teach others at varying levels and ages (primary schools through to university) it has also given me the opportunity to tour the world on various shows.
I'm currently a lecturer for ACM (Academy of Contemporary Music), Teaching Guitar and Music Theory.
I've been luck enough to gain a wide range of performance experience inlcuding Playing the guitar on Saturday Night Fever, touring Japan, Performing for the RSC (Royal Shakespeare Company), playing on Romeo and Juliet, Recording for the BBC, Playing the guitar for the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO), Playing on the Stand By Me Tour for the Drifters, Playing at Sirmione Jazz festival in Italy, Writing a jingle for Nero Cafe & so much more.
I believe in tailoring my lessons around what my students enjoy. We will learn all the essential theory whilst aiming towards learning songs that you're interested in.
I love passing knowledge onto others, seeing the excitement, creativity and progression of students is what got me into teaching.
I can help you with everything from learning songs, techniques, theory, performing, Writing, Chords & anything else that you'd like to learn.
