Module 1 | Welcome & Platform Introduction
Meet the MusicTeacher.com team and understand our mission to raise standards in private music education.
Understand the steps you need to take — including safeguarding and insurance requirements — to make your profile visible in student searches.
Learn about the three pillars that underpin our teacher community: Trust & Validation, Skills & Training, and Students & Growth.
Module 2 | Safeguarding
Understand why safeguarding protects both your students and your professional reputation.
Know how to recognise, record, and report concerns appropriately in your country or region.
Complete your safeguarding certificate submission to progress toward certification.
In regions where local safeguarding checks are not required, completion of the Safeguarding Essentials for Music Teachers course will fulfil your Step 4 “Safeguarding/Background Check” requirement.
Module 3 | Insurance/Risk Management
Understand why public liability insurance (PLI) protects you and your teaching business.
Learn how to arrange or confirm cover based on your country’s requirements.
In regions where PLI isn’t required, completion of the Creating a Safe Teaching Environment course will fulfil your Step 5 “Insurance/Risk Management Verification” requirement.
Submit your insurance certificate or complete the assigned course to progress your certification.
Module 4 | Shared Professional Ethos
Explore the shared values and standards that define certified teachers on MusicTeacher.com.
Commit to the Code of Professional Conduct, ensuring safe, respectful, and ethical teaching.
Learn how to maintain clear policies, safeguarding, insurance, and communication practices.

Module 5 | Become a Certified Professional Member
Learn what the Certification of Professional Membership is and how it recognises your credibility, safeguarding standards, and professional commitment.
Understand the benefits of upgrading your membership – including increased visibility, the Verified Teacher Badge, and formal recognition backed by RSL Awards (Rockschool).
